Introducing Oahu SPCA's First Surf & Rescue Event!
"Make Waves for Animals" at the First Oahu SPCA "Surf & Rescue" Virtual Fundraiser
You're invited to grab your board, paddle out, and make a splash for a cause close to our hearts! The Oahu Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) proudly announces its inaugural "Surf & Rescue" virtual fundraiser and challenge, aimed at saving animals in need.
With a staggering 6.5 MILLION animals entering shelters each year, the Oahu SPCA is calling on all animal lovers to join the movement. From May 1st to May 31st, participants will dive into action, aiming to collectively log 6.5 MILLION “steps”, symbolizing each animal's journey toward a forever home. Whether you're surfing, paddling, swimming, or stepping, every stroke and stride counts towards our shared mission.
This innovative virtual event breaks barriers, allowing participants to choose when, where, and how to get active. Not limited to Hawaii's shores, our event welcomes participants from across the globe. So, whether you're catching waves at Waimea or strolling through Central Park, you can make a difference.
Participants will record their activities and collect donations through personalized web landing pages, spreading awareness of pet adoption, rescue, and the importance of kindness to animals. Special prizes await the top achievers, motivating everyone to put their all into the cause.
Event Details:
● What: Oahu SPCA Surf & Rescue Virtual Event
● When: May 1st - May 31st
● Sign-up: Any time after April 25th- Participants can register at:

● How: Record activities and collect donations through personalized web landing pages
● Who: Anyone can participate including dogs!! Kids, get your parent's permission!
● Goals: Individuals aim for 12,000 “steps” (equivalent to 2 hours of surfing) per
day or equivalent activity and $150 raised. Collectively, our goal is 6.5 million “steps” and $80,000 raised.

Join us as we make waves for animals and spread awareness of the Oahu SPCA's mission. Donations raised will fund life saving rescues, shelter animal care, and the development of vital programs and services.
