Honor a friend or celebrate the memory of a loved one by making a contribution in their name to the Oahu SPCA.
Whether you're looking to give a meaningful gift in a friend's name or you'd like to honor the memory of a loved one who is no longer with us, a tribute donation to the Oahu SPCA is an incredible gesture and makes a huge difference for shelter animals in need.
To make an honorary or memorial donation, please visit our donation form. If you have any questions about memorial gifts, please contact the Oahu SPCA Development Team at (808) 754-5877 or Kristen@OahuSPCA.org.
Please see our gallery below of honored and beloved pets and friends. If you'd like to see your loved one included in our gallery and have made a memorial gift, please email a photo with your pet's name and any information you'd like us to include to Kristen@OahuSPCA.org.
William Schmitt, the gentlemen and the chicken-hearted. Will was a lover of couch pillows, Rangeley winters, Cape Cod summers, and the occasional dinghy blast. He was a brave scout on long safaris, a fearless leader in the cranberry bogs, and a loyal companion to his family. Will leaves behind a legacy of being the biggest and calmest boy, a tail slapper, and a true vigilante against balloons both large and small. There is no better way to honor Will than to have him watch over the pets who await their forever families. Will was the most loyal dog we know. He is watching over us with his Nana by his side. We love you forever, Will. Thank you for being the best friend our family could have ever wished for.
This donation is in honor of our Benji Benjamin. We were volunteering at OSPCA, offered to foster him, and then adopted him. We are so blessed that he joined our family and that we could offer him a forever home. He is about 12 1/2 now and a puppy at heart. We are grateful he is with us and hope this kennel sponsorship leads to a pup having another forever home and forever Ohana. Mahalo!
In Honor of Two adopted Oahu cats. TIGER and ORANGE. Who love their mama so much for loving them so much!
In memory of Jac. We miss you Jac and Love you!
We found a kitten, who we named Marshmallow, on Halloween night that sadly passed away and we want to pass on the love. We dedicate this message and sponsorship to him. We love our kitties and especially the senior kitties up for adoption so we would like to sponsor Costello
A donation was made in honor of Grilled Cheese, seen here in his festive reindeer costume, which he hated but his family loved. He will be missed.
You came into our lives after we adopted you from the Oahu SPCA and we lost you too soon to cancer, our Sweet Rosie. Thank you for being such a sweet dog to everyone and for your pure love. We love you.
A donation was made in honor of our beloved Harley (Lhasa Apso) and Xena (Rottweiler). We lost both of our dogs within 2 weeks of each other and this years holidays are really sad without two of our family members.
Rest in Love sweet girl.
We loved our Lulu very much and hope that these donations in her honor will help other rescues until they find their forever homes.
Louie's love for life reminds us how special the four-legged members of our families can be. He was quick to jump in and play with any animal, and we want to remember him and honor his pets. May we all live like louie this holiday season.
n the words of Gianina, her loving sister: It is with immense sadness that I share the passing of my sweet sister, Patrina. She was my whole world; my best friend from the very beginning. She was radiant and beautiful, inside and out. Her smile was so inviting and warm. I will miss it for the rest of my days. She was a master Scrabble player, the queen of swimming and so strong and independent. Just like her niece. She was the most loving Tita to Maya and Julius. Maya said “Maybe God needed her more.” Maybe that is true, but I want her here with me so badly. She was always there for me and our family. When our grandmother got sick, she dropped everything to move to Hawaii to help take care of her; that’s just the kind of person she was; phenomenal. She was the first one I’d call or text when I had any news to share, big or small. She gave me all the fashion advice; I’m sure I would have looked a mess on prom night and my wedding day without her. She knew all the p icks at Trader Joe’s and loved to find a good deal. She loved animals more than anyone I know, especially her sweet puppy Luke. We lived together for a whole year during the pandemic and it was one of the best years of my life, despite the craziness going on around us. She kept us all laughing and brought so much joy. She was kind and thoughtful and all the things you could want from a sister. A true friend to all that knew her. And the lives she touched as a nurse are innumerable. I could go on and on about my incredible sister. She was taken from us far too soon and I will carry her with me for the rest of my life. Rest in peace my sweet, sweet sister. Please hold our family in your hearts and prayers as we learn to navigate this world without her. Patrina, I love you with all my heart and always will.
Celebrate your loved ones with commemorative signage on one of our dog or cat kennels. These memorials also make a wonderful gift to celebrate a special anniversary, career milestone, a wedding, a new child or pet, or any life event for someone who knows just how much joy animals bring to our lives.
Email Kristen@OahuSPCA.org if you are interested in this kind of tribute. Be sure to include the name of the pet or person who the kennel sponsorship will honor as well as your name, address and phone number. You may also call us at (808) 754-5877 for more information.
