Update from Foster Parent:

I fostered Sam for 3 months until I moved off island. In the beginning he could be fractious, but with time, space and patience, I started to see a personality shine through. Sam does not like change, as most cats don't. So don't be surprised in the beginning weeks with you, if he is displyaing unfavorable behavior. He loves his space, and toys, although he (at the time) was not interested in playing with me. However, at night time I could hear the jingles of his toys, and patter of feet, by  the morning the layout of his room would be completely changed. He LOVES food, so treats were a big part of us getting to know each other. I highly recommend using this tactic with him! Sam enjoys head, chin, and butt scratches. He will rub all over your legs, and lay down next to you for pets. If you stop petting him before he is ready, he will kindly let you know by giving 'lovebites'. Same goes for when you leave for work, he'll walk over and 'lovebite' your leg. He is not a fan of fast movements, or loud noises, which is why I would not recommend a home with small children or dogs. He does, however, seem to enjoy the company of other cats. So, if you have a relatively quiet home (I didn't), lots of love, and patience, this beautiful chubby boy is the one for you!
