Almost every civilized country in the world has adopted an electronic signature law. The Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN) and the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA) have established that electronic records and signatures carry the same weight and legal effect as traditional paper documents and handwritten signatures. A document or signature cannot be denied legal effect or enforceability solely because it is in electronic form.

According to U.S. Federal law, an electronic signature is an “electronic sound, symbol, or process, attached to or logically associated with a contract or other record and executed or adopted by a person with the intent to sign the record.”

By electronically signing this volunteer form I attest that everything I have stated within this document is true to the best of my knowledge.
